Overview

Our client, a leader in the home health care services, is seeking a Director of Reimbursement to join their team. The role of Director of Reimbursement includes the overseeing of monthly billing, reconciliation of clients, checking accounts, and ensuring accuracy and continuity of service plans and cost plans.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for leading the overall reimbursement function. Develops, administers, and monitors regional reimbursement services, strategies and goals as well as oversees compliance of regulatory requirements.
  • Drive projects, process improvements and training to drive and support business goals and metrics; ensures the accurate, timely billing of accounts and compliance of all federal and state billing/collections requirements.
  • Acts as a Company liaison maintaining contact with regional public, government and private pay payers to resolve reimbursement issues; may represent company in outside public reimbursement meetings.
  • Ensures timely communication of performance within Reimbursement and monitoring Medicare updates.
  • Leads departmental procedures related to governmental and commercial third party payor relations, financial / cost reporting, contractual agreements / allowances, analysis and research of reimbursement legislation and regulatory compliance, external audit, revenue budgets, and month end accounting process.
  • Sets procedures for filing reimbursement claims and ensures timely and accurate claims Monitors, evaluates and reviews all cost reporting in support of reimbursement claims.
  • Functions as the reimbursement subject matter expert for the organization and facilitates interdepartmental activities, communication, and decisions related to reimbursement and its impact to the organization.
  • Follow all Agency policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare, collections, systems and accounting.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and private pay.
  • Ability to use computerized systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
